Join me and Capri (117 Maestoso Capriola XXXVIII to be precise!) for a lecture and demonstration on Sunday January 17th at Ayton PRE, North Tawton.

We will share what we have learned together over the last ten months. Capri was gifted to me as unbacked, very underexposed 8 year old Lipizzaner. Capri found the move from his small secure home, with one horse and one human, extremely hard. The first few months we had together were very challenging!

However, as is often the way, these situations teach you a huge amount, if you’re open to learning. I have had to understand a great deal about Capri’s physical, emotional and cognitive needs, and dig very deep to become a useful human for him.

In this lecture demo, we will show you how we have learned to work together. What mattered to Capri and what mattered to me, and how we balanced that out. And how we are finally beginning our journey as a ridden partnership.

There will be lots of practical things you can take home to your own horses. Ideas and inspiration to experiment with in order to create more harmony, more understanding and more fun!
